Terms & Conditions

Flat pricing, what we can and can't take, and how cancellations and refunds work. Written to be read, not skimmed past.

Booking with us

Effective July 31, 2026. These terms cover junk removal and hauling services provided by Rocket City Hauling in Huntsville, Alabama and surrounding areas. Booking a pickup — online, by phone, or in person — means you agree to them.

Pricing

What our prices include

Our published rates are flat and cover everything: labor, loading, hauling, and disposal fees. There are no travel charges and no fuel surcharges inside our service area.

  • Half truckload — $97.95. Roughly a washer and dryer, a couch with a few boxes, or a small pile of yard waste.
  • Full truckload — $187.95. A full garage, a bedroom or living room of furniture, or a deck tear-out.
  • Dump trailer — starting at $297.95. Whole-home cleanouts, major renovations, and commercial jobs.

When the price can change

The dump trailer tier is a starting price, not a cap. If your load runs past a full trailer, or if it includes items that cost extra to dispose of (see below), we will quote you the additional cost on site and get your approval before we load anything. You are never billed a surprise amount after the fact.

Tier descriptions are guidance, not a guarantee. If what's on the ground turns out to be a size larger than what you booked, the crew will tell you before starting and you can approve the difference, reduce the load, or cancel at no charge.

Items that cost extra to dispose of

Some materials carry disposal fees that we pass through at cost — most commonly mattresses, tires, appliances containing refrigerant, paint, and televisions. We'll tell you the amount before loading.

What we can't haul

For everyone's safety and to stay within Alabama disposal regulations, we cannot take:

  • Hazardous waste, solvents, or chemicals
  • Asbestos or materials suspected to contain it
  • Medical or biohazard waste
  • Ammunition, explosives, or fuel
  • Wet paint (dried-out cans are usually fine — ask us)
  • Anything leaking, contaminated, or actively infested

If we arrive and the load contains these items, we'll remove everything else and leave the restricted items behind. We're happy to point you toward the right disposal facility.

We also reserve the right to decline a job that can't be completed safely — unstable structures, unsafe access, or items too heavy for the crew on site.

Payment, cancellations, and refunds

Payment

Online bookings are paid at the time of booking. Additional amounts approved on site are collected on completion. We accept card payments through Stripe.

Saving your card

At checkout you may optionally tick a box to save your card for future hauls. If you do, you authorize us to charge that card for jobs you subsequently book or approve with us directly. The box is never pre-ticked. You can withdraw that authorization at any time by emailing or calling us, and we'll remove the card.

Cancellations and rescheduling

Cancel or reschedule any time before the crew is dispatched and you'll receive a full refund — just call, text, or reply to your confirmation email. If the crew has already arrived and you cancel, we may retain a portion of the fee to cover the trip.

Refunds

Refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

Your property and ours

Access and your property

You're responsible for making sure the crew can safely reach the items — clear access, permission to be on the property, and any gate or building codes. If you won't be present, tell us in advance exactly what is going and what is staying.

We take real care in your home, but moving heavy objects through doorways carries inherent risk. We're responsible for damage caused by our crew's negligence. We're not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear revealed once an item is moved, or damage that's unavoidable given the access available.

Items are gone once hauled

Please double-check the load before we leave. Once items are removed they're donated, recycled, or disposed of promptly and cannot be recovered. We aren't liable for items included in a load by mistake, so check pockets, drawers, and boxes first.

Photos

Photos you send us are used to quote and plan your job. We may use anonymized before-and-after photos of the work in our marketing — never showing your address, your face, or anything identifying. Tell us if you'd rather we didn't, and we won't.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Alabama law, our total liability for any claim relating to a job is limited to the amount you paid for that job. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, and any dispute will be handled in the courts of Madison County, Alabama.
