Privacy Policy

What we collect when you book a haul, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how to get it removed.

What we collect and why

Effective July 31, 2026. Rocket City Hauling ("we", "us") is a junk removal company operating in Huntsville, Alabama and the surrounding area. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you book a haul or contact us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what control you have over it.

If anything here is unclear, email SethKrocketcityhauling@gmail.com or call (256) 795-6448 and we'll explain it in plain terms.

The details

Information you give us

  • Contact details — your name, email address, and phone number, so we can confirm your booking and reach you on the day.
  • Service address — where the pickup happens. We need it to route the crew and to price travel accurately.
  • Job details — what you're having hauled, access notes, gate codes, and anything else you tell us so the crew arrives prepared.
  • Photos you choose to upload — entirely optional. If you send pictures of your items, we use them to quote more accurately and to make sure we bring the right truck and crew size.

Information collected automatically

  • Basic analytics — pages visited, rough location, device and browser type. We use this to understand which services people are looking for. It is not tied to your name.

Payment information

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your full card number never touches our servers and we cannot see it. We only ever receive a confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and the last four digits for reference.

If you tick the optional "save my card" box at checkout, Stripe stores that card against your customer record so we can charge you for a future haul without you re-entering it. That box is never pre-ticked, and you can ask us to remove a saved card at any time by emailing or calling us.

How we use it

We use your information to do the job you hired us for and to run the business — nothing else. Specifically:

  • Confirm your booking and send you a receipt.
  • Schedule the crew and reach you about arrival windows or delays.
  • Answer your questions by email, phone, or text.
  • Process payments and issue refunds.
  • Keep records of past jobs so repeat bookings are faster.
  • Meet our tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not send marketing email unless you specifically ask us to.

Who else sees it

We rely on a small number of service providers to operate. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job:

  • Stripe — payment processing. Receives your name, email, billing details, and card data (directly, never through us).
  • Resend — sends our booking confirmations and replies, and delivers your replies back to our team. Receives your email address and message contents.
  • Google Firebase — hosts this website and stores our booking records. Receives everything you submit through the booking form.
  • Google Analytics — anonymous website traffic statistics.

We may also disclose information if we're legally required to — a court order, a subpoena, or a genuine safety emergency.

Control, retention, and security

How long we keep it

We keep booking and job records for as long as we need them for accounting and tax purposes — generally seven years. Photos you upload are kept with the job record; if you'd like them deleted sooner, just ask.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to:

  • Tell you what information we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that's wrong.
  • Delete your information, where we're not legally required to keep it.
  • Remove a saved payment card.
  • Stop contacting you.

Email SethKrocketcityhauling@gmail.com or call (256) 795-6448. We'll respond within 30 days. There's no charge, and we won't refuse you service for asking.

Security

Our site is served over HTTPS and our booking records are held in access-controlled Google Firebase storage. Only our team can read them. No system is perfectly secure, but we don't store card numbers ourselves, which removes the most sensitive data from the picture entirely.

Children

Our services aren't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the effective date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll say so on the booking page.
